A festival weekend Wedding at Warren Farm is usually an event where family and friends get together in tents, camper vans and glamping pods and party under the stars. Read on to discover more about our laid-back weddings.
Warren Farm: A Unique Wedding Venue for Festival Lovers
Warren Farm is not your typical wedding venue. If you want crystal chandeliers, a grand country house setting and a team of event planners to micromanage every detail, don’t choose us. If, on the other hand, you want to design your own unique, festival-style weekend, you’re in the right place.
What We Offer
We offer a limited number of weddings each year – usually just four – and they’re generally weekend-long celebrations. Our couples love being able to get all their friends and loved ones together for a relaxed break with there’s plenty of time to catch up, watch the kids play, and of course dance barefoot under the stars.
As a commercial working farm that’s diversified into a glamping business, we’ve discovered the sheer joy of seeing a couple bring their loved ones together here for their big day. We’re very clear about what people should expect – and that includes real animals, a back to nature vibe and spectacular views. We’ve found that the people who ‘get it’ adore the quirkiness of being on a real farm, sleeping in our glamping pods and lodges, and inviting friends to set up camp for the weekend.
What’s Included
Book a wedding here and you get use of the entire glamping site, including our pods and lodges and our excellent glamping barn, which houses a shower block, a large communal area, and a small-scale kitchen. Upstairs in the barn, there’s a dedicated space for pre-wedding preparations – hair and make-up done while sipping a glass of bubbly, perhaps.
The wedding package also includes pitches for 10 tents or caravans, so you can invite more people along for the big event – and for an extra fee you can bring more, creating a true festival weekend.
How It Works
On a typical festival wedding weekend, guests arrive on Friday, settle in, and enjoy a communal meal in the barn area. They’re usually all eager to get together, catch up, and kick back as the weekend begins.
On the Saturday morning, we recommend doing a communal breakfast: just set up the tea and coffee, cereals, toast and pastries in the barn that so people can wander in and help themselves.
We’re not licensed for wedding ceremonies, so most people get the legal bit done beforehand then come here for a blessing or some form of ceremony with a celebrant. Some don’t want any kind of ceremony – they just want a memorable party. Others will go off site to a local church or registry office for their ceremony on the Saturday, and then come back to the farm for the wedding breakfast.
How You Can Customise It
When you book a wedding at Warren Farm, you can structure the whole event – including the facilities and caterers – in whatever way you choose. We won’t push you to choose anyone in particular but we do have a list of service providers, from caterers to toilet hires (if you want extra loos for a big gathering) who have done a good job, been reasonably priced, and helped make a previous happy couple’s big day perfect.
We’ll also give you details about what you need to think about if you’re going to hold a wedding here, and some rough budget guidelines.
Catering-wise, you can book all manner of options. If you want a formal sit down three course dinner with china, crockery and crystal glass, there’s a company that will do that. If you want a pig roast, there’s a company that will do that. If you want an ice cream van to come in for the night, we can point you to someone who’ll do that too. There’s also a mobile burger van that will rock up, festooned with festival lights, and set about dishing out a hundred or so burgers.
Why You’ll Love It
The festival feel is definitely the common thread running through all the weddings we’ve hosted here at Warren Farm. Our farm is perfect for couples who want a relaxed, chilled out weekend vibe, getting their friends and family together in a relaxed country setting where there’s room for the kids to run around and not get bored, and there’s enough to keep the grown-ups happy too.
