The field area is designed with families in mind, so it is a safe place for children to be able to explore and play while you enjoy your luxury glamping. There is a well-equipped play area with wooden towers, swings, slides and two sand pits for younger children. There is also a selection of indoor and outdoor games that can be borrowed. We do allow well behaved dogs to stay with their families, subject to our terms and conditions (more details on the bookings page). We also now have a dedicated ‘dog paddock’ where your four legged friends can be let off their leads in safety to enjoy some exercise with you.
We’re very aware of the increasing interest around climate change and are always working on ways to reduce our combined impact on the environment, to this end we are trying to make our holidays as sustainable as possible. We’ve built an on-site rainwater capture system, the water from this is used to flush the toilets in the tents and lodges. Then we’ve recently installed a PV (photovoltaic) system on the roof of our shower block to generate electricity and any spare is stored in a battery to be used during peak demand times and to offset our usage in the bathroom and shop. Since 2022 there is an electric car charging point located in our car park. The tents and lodges are lit by candles and lamps, heating is provided by locally grown timber from sustainably managed woods.
The animal paddocks will usually have some farm favourites in them. The well-stocked honesty shop has enough supplies for most of your basic needs (and a few luxuries). The beef in the freezer generally comes from one of our own animals while the meats in the fridge come from our local butchers. For a great fried breakfast try Priddy Farm Shop, just right to set you up for the day! We have also teamed up with local suppliers allowing guests to book a range of hampers. The nearby Farrington’s Farm Shop in Farrington Gurney, is also well worth a visit with several attractions, both indoor and outdoor, also the cream teas are a must!
